Hyundai recalling about 270,000 vehicles in U.S.A
Hyundai is recalling nearly 270,000 Sonata and Azera sedans that are registered earlier in the U.S.A for possible corrosion problem that can affect the vehicles rear wheel alignment. Mean while 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport models and 2014 Sorrento crossover models too were recalled due to possible problem with their right front axle on those with front-wheel drive and 2.4-liter engines.
There were no accidents or deaths were reported any where in the USA although the corrosion issue came to light when the salt that was placed on the in cold weather states (20 U.S. states and the District of Columbia) is expected to lead to rust on the steel on the underside of the vehicles, which can lead to misaligned real wheels, according to a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The suspected models are Sonata sedans model year 2006 to 2010. Azera sedans model year 2006 to 2011.
