Micro EV from Honda
Micro Commuter Prototype small sized electric commuter vehicle suitable for short distance running with the rechargeable Lithium-ion battery has been introduced by the Honda motors in Japan.
The vehicle is planned to transport the driver and one passenger through a distance of 60 Km and the battery can be charged under 3 hours of time. And it is under research to run it on solar cells mounted on the roof.
The micro EV can achieve a speed of 80 km/hr according to the Honda reports.
This micro EV concept was introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show 2011.
It is expected that this Micro EV is suitable for small families, senior citizens, home delivery services, commuting and car sharing.
The is also another facility through the users own tablet which can meter display, navigation, audio and back-up camera display.
The main aim of the EV is to reduce the Co2 emission in the cities from the motor vehicles.
