Volkswagen the German car maker was started in the year 1937 and it went very hardships through out the world war period. Then after the war was ended a British Army Major Ivan Hirst kept his vision on the Volkswagen plant and made it to run. Later form 1948 onwards Volkswagen was recognized as a popular car and started to sell all over the world.
Where it had the popular low weight air cooled engine made with aluminum/magnesium mixture. Their engines comes from 1100 cc to 2000 cc depending on the model of their car.
Volkswagen had made many kinds of cars and vans although its popular Golf, Beetle, and the Passat had sold out in millions all over the world and still it is keeping its world market sales with its 20 different kind of passenger cars and sports cars.
In the beginning Volkswagen Beetle was looked as a different car at its launch but later it captured the hearts of the human beings through out the world and it became more popular with the people which no other car model can ever have that reputation. From 1938–2003 nearly 21,529,400 Beetle were sold all over the world.
In the year 2012 Volkswagen cars are selling in the range of $16,000 to $43,000 depending on the model and the options.
